A day in the life: Emily Goodreau’s first grade

to take a look at a typical day of in-person learning in Emily Goodreau’s first grade at Sheridan Preparatory Academy. 

Students spent Friday morning studying how the earth’s rotation determines day or night through a series of cross-curricular activities. Beginning with a group reading and discussion of a story featuring the concept, students then delved into the scientific principles and crafted paper models of the sun, moon and earth.
