The following is an important message from Stephen and Harriet Myer Middle School Principal William Rivers:
The Moving Up Ceremony will be held in the Myers auditorium starting promptly at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 23. Guests will not be allowed to enter the parking area or the building without a ticket.
- Students should arrive no later than 8 a.m. for breakfast in the cafeteria followed by directions for line order.
- Each eligible student has received two tickets for guests who must present their ticket at the front door to access the building.
- The ceremony will also be livestreamed in the gymnasium. Students were provided with three extra tickets, per request.
- Families can begin arriving at 8 a.m. and can park in designatned spots. Please carpool, or use public trasnportation, to minimize traffic congestion. Guests are expected to follow the directions of the Myers parking lot attendants.
- Nobody will be allowed to enter the auditorium once the ceremony begins. Please arrive on time.
- Students and families must remain in their assigned locations in the auditorium until the formal conclusion of the ceremony.
- We want all families and friends to see their student(s) cross the stage. Please remain seated when appropriate. Additionally, please do not bring items, such as balloons, that block the views of other guests.
- Families will also be able to take pictures at designated locations outside of the building.
