to take a look at a typical day of in-person learning in Karyn Barry’s first grade at Eagle Point Elementary School – plus some costumes, of course!
Students spent Friday morning engaged in a seasonal exploration of science, math and English Language Arts (ELA), examining a large pumpkin, counting its seeds and describing its characteristics – especially the insides! Students then had the opportunity to decorate their own tiny pumpkins before moving on to discuss the latest installment in their group reading of the Junie B. Jones series (which was also the inspiration for Barry’s costume!).
