Grade 5 kicks off in-person learning

Teacher stands in front of students at desks placed six feet apart

City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ fifth-graders whose families opted for in-person learning returned to their elementary schools on Monday for orientation.

Things were different. They had to wear face masks, stand six feet apart and get their temperatures taken (touch-free!) before they walked in to their school building. Their classes were smaller and their desks were placed at least six feet from every other student’s.

But these COVID-19 precautions couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of students and teachers being physically back together for the first time since March. Check out Facebook photos of the first day of in-person learning for fifth-graders at , , , and.

Students from prekindergarten-grade 6 who chose in-person learning will return to school one day this week for orientation. If your child is among those students, find out which day to come to the school building.
