Changing the world, one step at a time!

Eagle Point Elementary School is hoping to take more than 38-million steps this year. That’s how many steps students in grades 3, 4 and 6 took last year as part of the UNICEF Kid Power Project.

On Oct. 29, third-graders in Ann Paulsen’s class received their fitness tracker bracelets and learned that the more they move the more ‘Ready to Use Therapeutic Food’ (RUTF) packs will be distributed to malnourished children around the world.

This is the fourth year that Eagle Point has participated in the program, spearheaded by Laurie Sasson, and last year the school’s activity translated to 1800 RUTFs.
