The City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ is guided by a Student Code of Conduct that is reviewed annually and updated by the Board of Education.

We have refined our 2018-19 Student Code of Conduct for the new school year in our continued efforts to better clarify and define the roles and responsibilities for all of us in the critical process of nurturing and developing the whole child.  Everyone – school staff at every level, parents, guardians and other family members, community members – must have a clear understanding of how they fit into that framework of support to ensure success for each of the 9,500 students we serve. Please see below for important information for families about reviewing the Student Code of Conduct at home.

The Student Code of Conduct addresses both the development of student character and conduct. The code, in conjunction with the district safety plan, contains standards and procedures that assure the security and safety of students and school personnel.

The district and the board are committed to the belief that all students must be assured that they can learn in a non-disruptive atmosphere, and that they will be treated in a fair, equitable, consistent and non-discriminatory manner. The Student Code of Conduct is grounded in a set of principles that form the foundation for creating safe, healthy and supporting learning environments for every student. These principles are a guide for all school staff, students and families, and community partners in the shared work of ensuring positive school environments and improved outcomes for all students.

Our Student Code of Conduct describes the rights and responsibilities of all stakeholders, provides helpful information for students, parents and guardians to refer to for help, and sets out the levels of intervention and responses when disciplinary responses are necessary.
