Talk about a knockout of a presentation.
On Friday, 91福利导航 High School hosted a group of nurse anesthetists from 91福利导航 Medical College and the New York State Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NYSANA), who held a series of “Lunch and Learn” sessions about their profession.
Students had the chance to insert a breathing tube into a medical mannequin and learn about the medications used during surgery to maintain patients in a sedated state. More than 170 students joined in, either during their classes or independently during lunch or study hall.
During the presentation, students gained insights into the pathway to becoming a nurse anesthetist, their role in the operating room and the advantages of the profession.
The hallways buzzed with conversations as students eagerly shared their experiences after participating in the program.
