91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School senior Shaquin Robinson has one of the lead roles in the spring musical “Sister Act” – which opens tonight, Thursday – and he was recognized by the New York State School Musical Association (NYSSMA) for being being an alternate to a statewide chorus.
Principal Jodi Commerford, Discovery Academy Principal Jordan Goldman and Assistant Principal Michael Lopez, and mom Clarissa (who also works at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High) presented Shaquin with a NYSSMA certificate Tuesday recognizing his selection to Conference All-State Alternate Chorus.
He was selected from some 6,500 students from around the state after an extensive application and audition process that began during his junior year.
