News of the week

  • January Regents next week – 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School will administer New York State Regents exams in several subjects next Tuesday through Friday. Get a schedule. Please note there are no regular classes on those days. After-school clubs will not meet those days unless you hear differently from the club adviser. Athletic practices and games will take place.
  • Music teacher concert Tuesday – Experience City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ music teachers making their own music at the 2023 Faculty Concert, scheduled Tuesday in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Learn more.
  • Yearbook deadlines extended – You can place orders for the 2022-23 edition of "Prisms," the school yearbook through next Wednesday. And seniors and families: Baby pictures for the yearbook also are due next Wednesday; parent ads are due Feb. 28. Learn more.
  • College Info Night Feb. 2 – The Guidance Department will host a College Information Night for sophomores, juniors and their families on Feb. 2 in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Learn more.
  • Legend lives on – Milton E. Horne Sr.’s legacy lives on in the hands of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School construction students. Horne was a beloved teacher, coach, builder and community leader who died in 2001. And on Thursday, his family gathered to see students use two large pieces of construction equipment the family raised money for, purchased and donated to the school. Learn more.
  • Robotics boosters – On Tuesday, the mechanical side of the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School robotics team gratefully accepted a $7,500 check from the Gene Haas Foundation. Learn more.
  • Student ID reminders – All students must present their school ID when they enter the building. Students can no longer enter the building using their student number. Students IDs should always be visible, and students should have their schedule readily available.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 15 – PTSA meeting, in-person (library) and virtual (get a link), 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 16 – Open Mic Night, library, 6-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 17 – Second quarter honor roll celebration, cafeterias, ninth period
  • Monday, Feb. 20-Friday, Feb. 24 – Presidents Day and Winter Recess, no school

Important reminders

  • Online Success Center open during Regents week – Students can make up work and earn back course credit Tuesday-Friday, Jan 27 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., but they need to commit. Learn more.
  • Lunar New Year Festival – It’s the Year of the Rabbit, and the Chinese Club will host a Lunar Year Festival 2023 on Feb. 1 to celebrate.The event is open to all. It will be held from 5-7 p.m. in room 1309 at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High. Learn more and place an order.
