Falcon Farms blooms again

Three students spread soil in the garden beds at Falcon Farms 2.0

Outdoor learning is growing … and so is Falcon Farms 2.0, which is sprouting on the east side of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School.

Thanks to a collective effort of community partners and students and staff, the project provides a space for hands-on learning where students use their biology and ecology knowledge to garden and grow food.

Community partners that supported the remade garden space include the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Fund for Education, the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Booster Club, the City of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ and Honest Weight Food Co-op. Thank you!

Students from pre-engineering and construction career and technical education programs built beautiful new garden beds, a Free Farm Stand and picnic tables. Students from Earth Science AP Environmental Science classes and the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High Outdoor Club filled the new beds with a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers.

As crops become ready for harvest, the food will be shared with students and families in the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High community via the Farm Stand (stay tuned for more info about this!).
