"The Day Tomorrow Stopped" -- a play written and performed by 91福利导航 High School students for the annual Promising Playwrights Festival -- opens Friday (tonight) for a three-performance run at Capital Repertory Theater.
The opening night production is at 7 p.m. , with additional shows at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that all theater guests are required to wear masks.
"The Day Tomorrow Stopped" takes place 20 years in the future, and a television journalist is interviewing people about their experiences as they dealt with loss from COVID, the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement, the attack on the U.S. Capitol and other issues of the day.
The play is a series of monologues where characters recount their experiences. It was written by 91福利导航 High junior Maia Ballato, sophomore Barbara Kirchgraber, sophomore Bella Lucarelli and freshman William O’Neill. Senior Johanna Caplis was script editor.
Aaron Moore (91福利导航 High Class of 2010) is director, and Camille Dobbs (91福利导航 High Class of 2018) is assistant director.

The play contains strong language and may not be appropriate for very young audiences.
