91福利导航 High School seniors Gideon Goldmann and Marcus Treece were busy registering their fellow Falcons to vote on Monday, the first day of their week-long voter registration drive at school.

Goldmann and Treece are members of the school’s My Brother’s Keeper program and representatives to the statewide program of the same name. The voter registration drive is their capstone community service project, and they dedicated it to late civil rights leader and Congressman John Lewis.

Goldmann and Treece both recently participated in voter registration training with the League of Women Voters of 91福利导航 County and mentor Eric Adams of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The seniors went on to train 11 of their MBK peers and members of the 91福利导航 High Falcon Council, who will assist with the drive throughout the week.

They were assisted Monday by Superintendent Kaweeda Adams, Eric Adams, Maureen Bernstein of the League of Women Voters and 91福利导航 School Coordinator Malcolm Gandy. Teacher Sean Fitzsimmons worked with Gideon and Marcus to coordinate the registration drive, as well.

Through Thursday, any Falcon 16 and older can stop by their table outside the cafeteria during lunch and sign up to vote (and a T-shirt or other swag!). The goal was to get 100 students registered this week.
