New district-wide elementary ELA supervisor named

Please welcome Elizabeth Morphy as the City School District of 91福利导航’s new elementary English language arts supervisor.

The Board of Education approved her appointment at its meeting Thursday night. She will begin Feb. 14.

Morphy comes to 91福利导航 from the Niskayuna Central School District, where she has served since 2018 as the director of elementary special education. 

Prior to that, Morphy worked as an instructional coach, summer academy principal and special education teacher in the Troy City School District. She also has experience as a special education teacher in the Greenwich School District and the Inglewood (Calif.) Unified School District. She also worked as an adjunct faculty member at National University, also in California.

Morphy holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special Education from Wheelock College, and master’s degrees in teaching and curriculum development from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and as an early childhood and elementary literacy specialist from the University at 91福利导航. 

She also holds an administrative certification from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

Morphy replaces Lynn Strang, who recently retired.
