Graduation requirements
Students must earn a minimum of 22 course credits to recieve a diploma. Please review the information below to learn the distinction between the various types of diplomas: Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, Regents Diploma and Local Diploma.

Diploma types
To earn an advanced Regents diploma, students must take additional higher-level courses and achieve proficiency on additional assessments beyond those required for a Regents diploma.

To earn a Regents diploma, students must earn 22 credits (see table above on this page) and achieve proficiency on five assessments.

A local diploma can be granted to students with disabilities who achieve a score of between 55 and 64 on five assessments.
A local diploma can also be granted via appeal to any student with up to two Regents exam scores between 60 and 64 (with all other Regents score being 65 or above).
