Schuyler yogis get virtual guidance

Little girl tilts her head back in a yoga stretch

It’s all about the breathing.

Fourth- and fifth-graders in Erin Andrews’ class at Philip Schuyler Achievement Academy took note of their breath while they bent and stretched Tuesday afternoon during a virtual yoga session with Nikki Rogers of Lifted Vision Community Yoga Services.

Rogers has taught yoga to Schuyler students for the last several years, part of the school’s enrichment offerings. She’ll provide five to 10 sessions a month to students in kindergarten through fifth grade – all virtual for now -- through the end of the school year.

Namaste, indeed!
