Dear Families:
I am excited to invite you to Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence’s Virtual Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The event starts with a prerecorded welcome presentation that will be available at 5 p.m. and live online chats with teachers and staff from 6-8:00 p.m. The virtual open house will provide an overview of our program and introduce families to our faculty and staff.

You can link to the welcome presentation after 5 p.m. Wednesday here, via SNN or from the O’Neal Facebook page. The presentation will include information about the school, videos from your student’s teachers and information about classes.
The O’Neal web page is located at albanyschools.org/oneal. SNN is a school district communications network that provides e-mail updates from each school and includes a text-messaging option for emergency announcements such as school closings. - 6:10-6:30 p.m. – Grade 7 meetings: Team NYU and Team RPI
- 6:40-7 p.m. – Grade 8 meetings: Team Howard and Team Saint Rose
- 7:10-7:30 p.m. – Self-contained special education teams and elective classes
- 7:40-8 p.m. – Community schools
Also, if your child has the following teachers, they will be assigned to the meetings of the teams indicated below:
- Ms. Bucci: Grade 7, Team RPI – 6:10-6:30 p.m.
- Ms. Butt: Grade 8, Team Howard – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Mr. Castillo: Grade 7, Team RPI – 6:10-6:30 p.m.
- Mr. Chui: Grade 8, Team Saint Rose – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Ms. Goetz: Grade 8, Team Howard – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Ms. Lin: Grade 8, Team Howard – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Ms. Philippone: Grade 8, Team Saint Rose – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Ms. Zebrowski: Grade 8, Team Saint Rose – 6:40-7 p.m.
- Ms. Zito: Grade 8, Team Howard – 6:40-7 p.m.
Live online meeting links will be released at 6:10, 6:40, 7:10, and 7:40 p.m.; click on the link and enable your camera and microphone. You will be able to use the chat feature to ask program or general questions. Please be aware that individual students will not be discussed publicly during the live meetings. If you have specific questions about your student, you can reach out to his or her teacher directly at another time using the contact information provided in the opening presentation.
