On Monday, aspiring astronomers in Marni Neenos’ fourth-grade class at New Scotland Elementary School wrapped up their study of the April 8 solar eclipse by recreating their favorite eclipse photo as a work of art.
Let by art teacher Helen’s Martin, students made vivid images of the eclipse on black construction paper with oil pastels and chalk. These personal eclipses will be the finishing touches on students’ mini-research projects on the subject. Look for their work displayed in the halls of New Scotland Elementary!
