New York State testing update
I wanted to remind you that the New York State testing will commence next week. Here is the schedule:
- Students in grades 3-5 will take the English language arts (ELA) exam on April 23 and April 24.
- Students in grade 5 will take the Science exam on May 1.
- Students in grades 3-5 will take the Math exam on May 8 and May 9.
Please remind the students to arrive at school on time during these exam days. Our staff will be here to provide support and encouragement to them throughout the testing period.

As we welcome the arrival of spring, we are excited to announce that we will be starting our Garden Club activities.
We would like to invite you to volunteer at our Garden Kickoff this Sunday, April 21, starting at noon. It will be a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day, which falls on April 22.
Your participation would be greatly appreciated, and it will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and contribute to our school community.

- New Scotland Elementary Talent Show – April 26 at Hackett Middle School, 6 p.m.
- New York State Science exam, grade 5 – May 1
- New York State Math exam, grades 3-5 – May 7-8
- Spring concert – May 7, 6:30 p.m.
