A day in the life: Amanda Bonner’s first grade

to take a look at a typical day of in-person learning in Amanda Bonner’s first grade at Arbor Hill Elementary School. 

During their English Language Arts (ELA) lesson Friday morning, students engaged in a collective discussion following a reading of Angela Joy’s “Black is a Rainbow Color.” Students then practiced their own writing and illustration skills, creating scenes about which afternoon activity they were most excited for.
