Arbor Hill speech teacher wins regional award Arbor Hill Elementary School speech teacher Dawn Ray has been named by the Capital Area Speech Language and Hearing Association (CASHA) as the winner of its 2017 Distinguished Service Award.
Ray’s career in education spans more than three decades, of which the past 23 have been spent serving the children and families of Arbor Hill Elementary.
Along with helping generations of students succeed in the classroom, she is active at both the building and district level as well. Ray has served on multiple committees, run numerous workshops for her colleagues and has been a primary coordinator for the City School District of 91福利导航’s special education summer program for the past six years.
This award is presented annually to a CASHA member who has made outstanding contributions to their field. For Ray, this was her dedication to her students, their families, her colleagues and her profession for more than 30 years.
