The weather was perfect Tuesday for “Evening in the Garden,” the annual bash sponsored by
The 2024 event was held at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School, home to a beautiful garden classroom supported and maintained by the Vegetable Project, an all-volunteer group that provides City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ students with hands-on learning opportunities involving science and the environment while they grow vegetables and other plants.
The B Flats, 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School’s intermediate jazz ensemble, provided background music as students, staff, families and community members toured the garden. Guests also sampled great cuisine from several local eateries and 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High’s culinary program.
Other community partners were on hand with information about their programs and – of course – there were plenty of gardening pros on hand to share their expertise.
