91福利导航 High School’s is in its second week and on Wednesday participating students planted their first seeds, sans soil!
This summer, selected students in grades 10-12 will receive hands-on hydroponic plant growth experience, both within the classroom and at the new 91福利导航 High Freight Farm.
The 17,000-lb Freight Farm, which was delivered in March, is a fully contained hydroponic farm in a shipping container. Hydroponic farming uses water enriched with minerals and nutrients to grow fruits, vegetables and plants without soil.
At the end of the four-week program, students will compare their hydroponic plants to conventionally grown plants.
