District Autism Spectrum Fair 2019 coming up

Fair coming up

The City School District of 91福利导航 will host a fair on Tuesday, March 26 for Capital Region children and families affected by autism spectrum disorder.  

This free event will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. at Montessori Magnet School, 45 Tremont St. Parking is available behind the school on Austain Avenue and at Westland Hills Park, also on Austain Avenue.  

The fair will feature sensory stations for the kids, performers, music and art therapy, therapy dogs, dozens of community and state agencies that can help, products for sale, raffles for great gifts and refreshments.   

Free busing is available from some areas. .

Autism spectrum disorder is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communications and behavior challenges. People with autism spectrum disorder may communicate, interact, behave, and learn in ways that are different from most other people. The learning, thinking, and problem-solving abilities of people with autism spectrum disorder range from gifted to severely challenged.

The mission of the City School District of 91福利导航 is to work in partnership with our diverse community to engage every learner in a robust educational program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for success. The district serves more than 9,500 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at 91福利导航 High School.
