The City School District of 91福利导航 is offering four community-based budget presentations March 4-5 to provide all families and community members additional opportunities to learn more about the ongoing budget-development process.

Presentations will be offered at the following locations:

  • Monday, March 4
    • Giffen Memorial Elementary School, 272 South Pearl St., 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 5
    • Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence, 50 North Lark St., 5:30 p.m.
    • Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School, 100 Elbel Court off Whitehall Road, 5:30 p.m.
    • William S. Hackett Middle School, 45 Delaware Ave., 7 p.m.

The presentations will be the same at each meeting. Principals and district staff will discuss and get feedback on the district’s current budget proposal for 2019-20, which the Board of Education will review at its March 7 meeting. The board is scheduled to review updates to the draft budget at its March 21 meeting, and will adopt a proposal in early April for voters to consider May 21.  

The mission of the City School District of 91福利导航 is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,500 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at 91福利导航 High School.
