The academic and athletic determination of a select group of 91福利导航 High School seniors was on display during the College Commitment Ceremony on April 18.
Ten college-bound Falcons signed letters committing to continue their athletic involvement in their respective sports when they begin the next chapter of their academic journeys in the fall.
Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams noted that the commitment is not just to athletics, but to continuing their educations as well. Adams encouraged students to truly be scholar-athletes in every sense of the phrase.
After signing the letters, students shared their favorite athletic memories from 91福利导航 High, which ranged from learning the value of leadership and the comradery of their teammates to simply “beating Troy.”
Students also expressed what they looked forward to most about their impending collegiate careers. Although their exact answers differed, the sentiment from all was the same; they look forward to continuing as leaders—both in athletics and academics—while welcoming the world of possibilities ahead of them.
The seniors recognized included:
- Edgar Alamo-Benitez, Hudson Valley Community College, football
- Zaeqwan Cancer, Morrisville State College, football
