The City School District of 91福利导航 was notified over the Thanksgiving weekend of 11 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. These individuals and their unvaccinated contacts are quarantining at home.
Three of these cases are associated with 91福利导航 High School and Abrookin Career and Technical Center:
- One case is associated with ninth grade at 91福利导航 High. This individual was last in the building Nov. 19. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
- One case is associated with the junior class at 91福利导航 High. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified 16 additional contacts, but 13 are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
- In the case involving Abrookin, the individual also was last in the building Nov. 19 and the health department has identified no additional contacts.
Three cases are associated with New Scotland Elementary School:
- One case is associated with a first-grade classroom. This individual was last in the building Nov. 17. The 91福利导航 County Health Department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
- Another case is associated with a second-grade classroom. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified 11 contacts, but two are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
- The third case at New Scotland is associated with a fifth-grade classroom. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified six contacts, but two are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Another case from the weekend is associated with 91福利导航 International Center. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified 32 contacts, but 10 are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Another case is associated with kindergarten at 91福利导航 School of Humanities (ASH). This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified five additional contacts, but two are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Another case is associated with Arbor Hill Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another cases is associated with fourth grade at Eagle Point Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Nov. 23 and the health department has identified no additional contacts.
The final case from the weekend is associated with Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School. This individual was last in the building Nov. 22. The health department has identified 38 contacts, but six are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Health and safety procedures at all district buildings continue to include cleaning and sanitizing. We will continue with these procedures, and also will continue to follow all required COVID-19 precautions (wearing masks inside all district buildings, hand hygiene, social distancing of 3 feet or more in all classrooms, and other precautions).
We also would like to remind everyone of steps you can take to help be safe:
- Maintain social distance at all times from those you don’t live with.
- Always wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose when inside at school or when your student is riding a bus to or from school.
- Wash hands with soap and water frequently when out of your home. If you cannot use soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Don’t touch the eyes, nose or mouth unless your hands are clean.
- DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE SYMPTOMS:
- Signs of COVID-19 are: fever, fatigue/tiredness, muscle/body aches or pains, congestion, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, rash, feeling sick or unwell in any way.
