The City School District of 91福利导航 is partnering with 91福利导航 County and Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center to help families more easily access COVID-19 rapid testing with confirmed cases of the disease at high levels in the Capital Region.
91福利导航 High School will be one of two new rapid-testing sites in the county at which school nurses can make appointments for K-12 students who have COVID-19 symptoms and are unable to attend school, 91福利导航 County Executive Daniel McCoy announced Monday.
The 91福利导航 High location will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3:30 p.m., in the Whitney Young mobile unit in the school’s North Main Avenue parking lot. Please note that this is not a walkup testing site. School nurses will coordinate all appointments with families.
“We are fortunate to have two outstanding partners in 91福利导航 County and Whitney Young, and we are glad to have this opportunity to assist them in making COVID-19 testing even more accessible to our families,” said Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams.
The 91福利导航 High location, as well as the new 91福利导航 County Cornell Cooperative Extension rapid-testing site in Voorheesville, will be available to K-12 students. School nurses will coordinate appointments with students’ families.
Students who receive negative results in rapid testing will need to get a follow-up, lab-based test to confirm the result before they are permitted to return to school in-person.
