Equity Metrics
The content on this page is being developed to measure the City School District of 91福利导航's effectiveness in achieving our goal of providing equitable opportunities and outcomes for all of our scholars.
Category 1: Equitable Student Academic Success
Indicator: Evidence that racial disparities in student success are narrowing
Category 1 metrics:
- Graduation rates among subgroups
- Successful completion of honors courses at the middle and high school levels
- Enrollment in MS honors
- Enrollment in high school AP, IB, UHS and CTE courses
Category 2: Equitable Student Success Beyond Academics
Indicator: Evidence that racial disparities in non-academic measures of student success are narrowing
Category 2 metrics:
- Percent of students participating in any activity (divided by subgroup; measure the gap)
- Process of student equity teams
- Percent of students engaged in music and athletics (by demographics)
- Passport for Good data (possible use for clubs and activities)
- JROTC participation, other organizations, etc
- Percent of students K 12 (breakout by level ES, MS, HS)
Category 3: Equitable Improvements to Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development
Indicator: Evidence that research-based strategies to reduce racial disparities are incorporated in curriculum and instruction
Category 3 metrics:
- Faculty and staff participation in Equity/CRE training
- Text selection is representative of equity and diversity
- Curriculum integration of multicultural themes and programming
Category 4: Equitable Resource Distribution
Indicator: Evidence that human and fiscal resources are being distributed equitably
Category 4 metrics:
- Staffing standardization and equity in pay and job duties
- Demographics of hires in leadership roles, faculty and staff positions
- Capital Projects (diversity of subcontractors and trades positions)
- Payroll/budget analyses
- Onboarding/setting clear expectations, including work ethic expectations
- Increased stakeholder input and involvement in the process
Category 5: Success in Equitable Hiring and Retention
Indicator: Evidence that hiring and retention practices and efforts are in place to facilitate the workforce demographics becoming more reflective of the student body
Category 5 metrics:
- Quarterly analysis of staff demographics
- Retention initiatives (mentor programs, supports for faculty and staff, career ladder opportunities)
- Analysis of exit interview data and demographics
- Grow Our Own programs (initiatives and pipeline programs, connections to teacher programs, student to teacher initiatives)
Category 6: Success in Equitable Student and Family Engagement
Indicator: Evidence that racial barriers to effective family engagement are falling
Category 6 metrics:
- Consolidate communication data to trend data (e.g., Facebook and Twitter data)
- Enrollment in SchoolTool/SchoolMessenger vs. total number of families
- Raptor data for school visitor numbers vs. total number of families
- “Travelling” events (school representative at community events)
- Parent teacher organizations working on building relationships with families and marketing to families
Category 7: Success in Equitable Community Engagement
Indicator: Evidence that partnerships with 91福利导航’s diverse community are being implemented equitably
Category 7 metrics:
- Identify each district wide committee and its members
- Goal of each school being represented on the requisite committee
- Determine if each school has a PTA or similar organized manner for parent support and participation (track number of official members and attendance at meetings)
- Identify community partnerships at each school
- Track event attendance
